People Matter - Number Three Of An Occasional Series - Gail

I am proud to say that I know Gail well.

She is popular and understated, modest to a fault and with a great sense of humour.

She is naturally kind to others but, sadly, I know there are times when she is not so kind to herself.

Like many of us, sometimes she could use a reminder that her way of looking at the world is just one of the things that makes her unique and wonderful. At times, perhaps, her inner voice is louder than it should be and drowns out what she needs to hear.

That she is who she is and that's all she needs to be.

For she is her vulnerability, she is her honest acceptance of everyone in her orbit. She is her endearing innocence and her basic goodness. She is the voice of the unheard and an ally to the unseen.

And I hope that she is able one day to take on board what others truly see in her and believe in herself just a little more.
