A Slice Of Life

A Slice Of Life

I had reason to stop and pause on Saturday.

Just for a moment.

In a busy railway station.

And to see the world hurrying past, busy, heads down, chatting, running late and running early, was to notice how people really go about their day to day lives, something that we rarely get to do.

But when we do, when we get to see a slice of life like this, well, we also enjoy a view of how others might actually see us. And we start to realise, perhaps, that so many of us are defined by our levels of busyness more than anything else.

And that feels like a sad thing to me.

Such is the misguided world that we live in.
