Winter, For A Change

Winter, For A Change

It’s been like winter here, proper winter, for a change.

I know we had some snow a couple of weeks back. It was beautiful and fun and very badly needed at the time. But it lasted just a few hours before it disappeared.

No, I mean actual winter, with snow and ice and freezing temperatures. And not just for one day.

A little like it was when I was growing up. Back then it felt like winter was always cold and snow was a regular thing. And everything remained open, trains and buses ran and we just got on with life.

It’s been cold and snowy for four days now and the forecast says it won’t get above freezing until Sunday. Sadly, not as much snow as before, but hey, it is real and it has been settling.

And it has provided some wonderful photo opportunities on my daily lock down walks.
